89up expands with new hires and client wins across human rights, internet advocacy and third sector
89up has won a string of new accounts, including tech advocacy group Internet Society, Brevio, a revolutionary platform for funders and the third sector and Fair Trials, the global criminal justice watchdog.
These wins are off the back of successful campaigns for new clients Make My Money Matter, the movement co-founded by Richard Curtis calling for UK pensions to build a better world, and FOUR PAWS, an NGO taking on the international wildlife trade, and have led to an expansion of the team with new hires across PR, Social and Web.
In addition to the above growth, 89up has been shortlisted for Agency of the Year at the Purpose Awards and for the PRCA Dare Awards Medium Consultancy of the Year.
89up is now teaming up with newly launched Brevio, an online platform that aims to revolutionise the relationship between charities and funders through data and innovation, with a PR, policy, social and podcast brief. The pandemic has increased financial pressure on charities across the country, and with many staff on furlough, skeleton teams are overwhelmed with trying to secure funding. Brevio’s solution rapidly match-makes funders and charities to create the most beneficial partnerships for both sides.
The Internet Society, a global non-profit organization that works to bring the benefits of the Internet to everyone, has appointed 89up on a PR and social media brief. The Internet Society aims to protect and empower the global network and those who use it, while facilitating Internet accessibility to remote, impoverished and underserved communities.
The global criminal justice watchdog, Fair Trials, has engaged 89up on a PR brief to amplify its goal of ensuring states across the world respect the rights of individuals who have been arrested and detained. With international movements such as Black Lives Matter highlighting police mistreatment during custody for marginalised groups, Fair Trials believe everyone deserves access to proper legal representation.
89up’s team has recently been joined by PR Account Manager Valerie Oladeinde, formerly of PHA Group, and Social Senior Executive, Stevie Grieves, ex-Fleishman Hillard, plus Alice Höglund who becomes Digital Project Executive in the Labs team.
