89up announced as social media agency for Channel 4’s Unreported World

One of Britain’s biggest broadcasters, Channel 4, has hired social media agency 89up to implement social media support around its new series of Unreported World. Unreported World is a critically acclaimed foreign affairs television programme produced for Channel 4 by Quicksilver Media Productions. 89up will provide social media support including scaling up the size of the programme’s existing social communities, live-tweeting during broadcasts, building social media traction around a series of shorts to promote the episodes and developing social media content to build awareness of the series.

Josh Feldberg, Director of Social Media commented:

“Unreported World is a critically-acclaimed TV programme that does much to expose human rights violations across the globe. This is a very exciting project for 89up to be working on – and we will work hard to significantly increase the size of the programmes’ online audiences.”

89up is a social impact agency that specialises in social media consultancy for film companies, media producers, charities and NGOs. The company was founded in 2009 and has 12 staff and 15 associates in London and Barcelona.
