89up built a web resource to ensure children don’t go hungry during lockdown

The Project

Manchester United and England superstar Marcus Rashford MBE became the conscience of the nation during 2020 with his determined campaigning to make sure children did not go hungry during school holidays. When he needed a website to support his campaign, he came to 89up.

The 89up Labs team worked with the Food Foundation and Google to build a website for the #EndChildFoodPoverty campaign. The website is a resource for families looking for meal providers near them, and a tool for organisations to show their support for families in need.

Given the urgency of the issue and the need to respond to a government constantly changing its position, 89up worked day and night to build a home for the campaign that was ready to use within days, and also had the flexibility to grow as the campaign develops.
