The client
38 Degrees: 38 Degrees is a community of more than a million people who – in a moment away from their busy days – take small actions on issues they care about, which all add up to something bigger, a movement for a better Britain for everyone who calls our country home.
The challenge
In January 2024, 6,366,070 people in the UK was on the NHS waiting list. This number was promised to be reduced a year earlier by Rishi Sunak, and the campaign We can’t wait!!! launched on the anniversary of his promise.
The website
The campaign aim was to bring the problem of waiting lists times to public awareness, media engagement and put pressure on policy makers.
The microsite showcase a visualisation of the number of people in the waiting list in a queue format, which would lead all the way from Westminster to Istanbul if people stood in a physical line.
The site also include personal stories from individuals across the UK, and possibility to look up statistics from your local constituency based on postcode search.
