Best Beginnings:  work to inform and empower parents who want to maximise their children's long-term development and well-being.

The challenge

Best Beginnings empowers parents to give every child the best start in life through innovative use of online tools and learning resources. The charity asked 89up to redevelop its brand and bring its image up to speed with its ambitions.

The 89up design team created a new Best Beginnings logo and visual identity that bridges the gap between the two core audiences of the charity; healthcare professionals and policy makers, and parents.

We created a versatile, colourful and recognisable icon that reflects the core values of Best Beginnings. To accompany the icon we developed a simple, professional and confident custom logo-font.

Working with the Best Beginnings team we developed a new strapline for the agency to complement the new visual identity and tell the story of the organisation.

89up produced a full visual identity book, providing guidelines on logo use, typeface, colourways, graphic panels, assets, images, illustration and iconography as well as sections covering all aspects of printing and screen use for publications, social media and web.

Our new visual identity for Best Beginnings gives the organisation a new look that tells everyone from ministers to mums and dads exactly what Best Beginnings is about.
