The challenge

See website ->

The IEEFA website lacked clear categorisation, making it difficult for users to find relevant research and analysis. The visual design language was not optimised for digital outputs, and their backend setup was complex, creating difficulties for their large and diverse team of analysts and publishers.

As a result, they approached 89up for a full website restructuring and redesign to improve content discoverability and user experience.

The process

Let's talk ->

We conducted a full technical and migration audit, which outlined our suggestions for ensuring the new website was optimised for content management experiences and as cost effective as possible long term.

Based on existing analytics data, audience auditing and stakeholder meetings we developed a new website structure which would cater to the various needs of their audiences and encourage content exploration.

The solution

Let's talk ->

We introduced new effective categorisation based on topics and regions, which addressed the search and filter issue and made it easy to find content on the site.

Introducing a wider colour palette made the site more visually appealing and a slight rebrand on the logo gave a more refreshed feel to IEEFA.

The CMS backend is fully customised to the needs of the content managers through clear signposting and variations in user permissions.

We migrated all report PDFs to the website through a custom migration tool and developed standardised and categorised landing pages for each report, leading to a substantial improvement in SEO and an easier route for users to find relevant insights.
