Just days after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, 89up was asked to create a hard hitting digital campaign holding banks and insurers accountable for their continued financial involvement in Russia.

89up created Putin100.org in less than 5 days from brief to ‘go live’. The Putin 100 was a shortlist of the financial institutions that supported the Russian fossil fuel industry through loans, insurance and investments.

We made it personal by featuring the headshots of the CEO’s of these organisations in the Putin100’s gallery on the website.

The data for the site was provided by Reclaim Finance, Urgewald and other partners. 89up also created a range of social content using a similar aesthetic.
