3 months fixed term. As this is a training programme we pay the national Living Wage.


We are looking for a paid intern to join our friendly and sociable London team, we are based in the Farringdon area however, currently working remotely. When we do go back to an office environment we will be working 3 days in the office and 2 from home.  Ideally, we are looking for someone with 6-12 months experience in a political or communications environment, such as working for an MP, think tank, regulator or consultancy.  However this is not essential.  
You will act as an integrated Junior account assistant, you will support a few accounts simultaneously and will ideally share knowledge across relevant accounts (with news, digital trends, content examples etc). You will be helpful in the smooth running of accounts - in charge of diarising team and client meetings and calls (and booking rooms), taking meeting minutes, helping to write up status reports and Friday bullets. 
As a Junior account assistant you will be expected to want to learn the art of digital campaigning, from learning to write social copy and calendars, supporting creative ideas, to supporting the team on managing social channels, scheduling and moderating organic and paid channels. You will begin to form an appreciation for what constitutes great social content, and digital campaigns. You will explore new digital channels, formats and features.
The successful candidate will have:
  • Presentation skills: From communicating ideas to your team to presenting ideas to clients, you need to organise information in a succinct and interesting way to capture attention.
  • Strong communications skills, both written and oral 
  • Strong interpersonal skills: Whether it’s over the phone, by email or in person, being in a communications agency is all about people. So you need to be approachable, friendly and empathetic, and be able to relate to people on different levels within the agency, with clients and with the media.
  • Excellent telephone manner: You will need to speak to your colleagues and potentially clients on a regular basis and every interaction sets the tone for the relationship.
  • Time-keeping: You will often be working to tight deadlines as well as meeting the demands and pressures of your team and clients, so you need to be able to work quickly and efficiently, without compromising on quality.
  • Resilience: Working with clients requires persistence, a level-head and a problem-solving attitude. 
  • Confidence in using social media is an advantage

Key responsibilities 

A social account executive will typically: 
  • Undertake research for clients 
  • Handle the day to day admin on accounts - diarising internal and external meetings and booking rooms or setting up conference calls, keeping meeting minutes, writing status reports etc.
  • Support on uploading content to social media channels or monitor social media channels 
  • Contribute to developing creative ideas, and content scripting
  • Support on writing press releases, news stories, articles, case studies and product pieces 
  • Think up new story angles and media pitches
  • Be a general all-round support to your colleagues!
