Finance Manager / Bookkeeper

Location: Based in India remote working for first 3 months

Basic Hours of Work: 24 to 40 Hours a week

THE ROLE
We are looking for either a part time or full time Finance Manager to lead the company's finances especially at key billing, payment and invoicing moments each month. You will support our CEO and Head of People and Operations to make sure that all the finance needs of the company are achieved.  As the role will be remote-based, you will need to have outstanding communication skills.

We are looking for someone with experience of accounting or bookkeeping for a UK based company. Our HQ is in London but the majority of our clients operate globally. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES REQUIRED;

  • Maintaining our financial software Freeagent
  • Input all supplier invoices and raising client invoices 
  • Oversee payment of suppliers
  • Generating client invoices based on client contracts
  • Management of debtors
  • Ensuring cash flow is at the optimal level
  • Monthly management accounts - preparing and analysing weekly
  • Yearly budget preparation with quarterly re-forecasting
  • Sales book forecasting
  • Negotiate rates with suppliers
  • Payroll for the company - responsible for the monthly payroll of 38 employees
  • Pension submission
  • UK VAT return preparation and submission for the company
  • End of Year accounts preparation and submission to HMRC
  • Bank reconciliations - overall responsibility for numerous bank accounts
  • Managing the CEO Credit cards and expenses
  • Ad hoc tasks requested by the CEO

KEY SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Minimum of 4 years experience 
  • Qualified, part qualified or qualified by experience
  • Good eye for detail
  • Good concentration
  • Self starter, able to work under their own initiative, manage their time productively, communicate effectively with clients
  • Proficient using google sheets and pivot tables
  • Flexible and adaptable, you will be well organised, methodical and able to manage priorities
  • Friendly telephone manner when dealing with credit control
  • Able to work under pressure and to deadlines
