About the role

At 89up, we are dedicated to delivering world-class digital and printed content for our client’s campaigns and organisations. This includes impactful video and static content for social media and events, print collateral, and visual branding. These outputs are often a part of larger integrated communications campaigns delivered by the agency, or are specific requests from our clients to enable their work.

Our designers also work closely with our web design and development team to create world-class websites for campaigns and large organisations. They produce both lightning-fast campaign platforms for quick burst campaigns, as well as large web platforms for NGOs and other non-profit organisations.

We are looking for a designer to join our team and help deliver impactful work. .  The ideal person thrives in a fast paced, agile environment, multi-tasking   across a number of different projects  and is motivated by working on good causes and purpose driven projects. Someone who is keenly interested in design and creative trends - particularly with what's happening in the world of social and digital culture -  and loves exploring how these could be implemented for our clients. You will need to enjoy wearing multiple hats and be confident mucking in when required.

What you’ll do

The role is predominantly focused on motion and static design for social media, digital and print, though could also include brand development, and expand to include web design and UX. We work across a wide range of visual styles, from illustrative explainer films to clean, vector-based motion design - so you’ll need to be comfortable adapting your approach depending on the brief and the client. Versatility and a strong visual eye are key.

  • Social and Digital Content: You will create a wider range of social content (moving image/animated and static for paid/organic placement), as well as digital display ads
  • Print design: Report designs, event collateral
  • Creative Development: You will contribute to evolving internal and client briefs, as well as creating ideas for pitches. This will include working with colleagues in digital, PR, advocacy, research and web. You will also support the business with the creation of winning pitch decks.
  • Team Collaboration: You will be working closely with our Head of Design, and three other designers. For social content, you will also work closely with our digital Advocacy team, using data insights to fine tune design outputs for targeted paid social campaigns, and also help support our client servicing team in delivery of integrated campaigns. You will have the ability to contribute to creative ideation and the team's approach to new briefs.

You will also have the opportunity to learn and grow skills in UX development and website design, as well as brand development.
