Our team is made up of big agency players, journalists, data and digital innovators and production genius, giving non-profits and commercial cause clients a big agency experience with boutique agency dedication.

We’re unique in the field in that 20% of our team work in 89up Labs, a group of skilled technologists developing tools to make PR and social more effective. 89up Labs heavily informs our strategy of always using data to underpin our creative thinking. Our media outreach is created using data from social media mapping and listening to give rigourous audience analysis.

Our stand out creative and campaigns are always designed to affect change - whether that be behaviour, attitudes or policy.

In 2018, 89up delivered global coverage for the Toyota Mobility Foundation’s $4,000,000 global challenge, won the UK consumer account for GoFundMe and ran PR campaigns for organisations from 38 Degrees, Reporters Without Borders, Best for Britain, Body Shop and Nesta to the makers of the Oscar-shortlisted documentary The Silence Of Others.

As well as getting our clients coverage in 2018, we made the news ourselves. 89up Think’s report into Russian disinformation during the EU referendum was reported widely in the media including The Economist, Daily Mail, The Guardian,

In October 2018, 89up’s digital team spotted a new ‘fake news’ website spreading disinformation via targeted social media advertising on Facebook. The exposure of Mainstream Network saw coverage of the agency across the globe from the New York Times to The Guardian, TechCrunch, BBC, Time Magazine, FT, Wired.

Finally, 89up’s Lab team has been developing new software for non-profits to build landing and petitions pages to drive new supporter and member acquisitions that will be launched in Q1 2019.

Our base is at Tileyard Studios in King’s Cross. We have a hands-on approach to producing our work and have built both production facilities and maintain an on-site network of partner companies at our offices that enable us to produce video, animation, motion graphics and graphic design.

Your role

We are looking for a smart self-starter. Someone with a minimum of 3 years experience in social campaign execution (organic and paid) who can also support the wider team in managing key accounts.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Creating and managing both organic and paid social media campaigns on behalf of our clients.
  • Collating and analysing social data for reporting and client insights
  • Producing written and visual content for social media
  • Contributing to idea generation for pitches and campaigns
  • Attend client briefing meetings with creative director and senior social producer
  • Assist in regular contact with clients across not-for-profit and commercial sectors
  • Research potential new clients for new business and pitch work
  • Contribute to company social media and marketing

Your Experience


  • Proven experience in running social media channels on behalf of brands or charities, adopting the correct tone of voice, acting in the interests of the client and protecting their reputation at every turn.
  • Proven experience in creating, running and reporting on paid social campaigns on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter (Google Ads, LinkedIn & Snapchat a bonus).
  • Very high standard of written and spoken English and ability to develop and adopt tone of voice guidelines


  • Experience in basic content creation (copy, graphics and video using Adobe Suite or similar)
  • Experience preparing and presenting proposals
  • Experience in the basics of project management
  • Experience in a high-growth early-stage business 
  • Knowledge of digital marketing strategies

However, we're equally keen to find someone who is hungry to learn more about integrated marketing and broaden their skill set, under the guidance of some of the best senior staff in their sectors - who can share years of valuable experience. This will see candidates supporting PR, content and tech teams - learning associated communications skills.

We're also looking for someone who thrives on working across a number of different projects and in an agile manner - as some of our clients (particularly the political ones) can change strategic direction in the course of days.
