Account Manager (Social & digital - integrated cause agency)

Salary: Account Director position - negotiable

We’re looking for a new Social and Digital Account Manager to manage social and digital accounts on behalf of our clients. This position is at Account Manager level. We need someone who can create and manage social media campaigns so experience in creative development, graphic design, video and copywriting are all highly desirable. You will be required to setup and manage client budgets for paid social campaigns and ensure they continually achieve targets. You will have a deep understanding of the differences between different social channels from both a paid and organic perspective. Occasionally, you’ll work on content and events production, so the ability to manage a variety of tasks and stakeholders simultaneously is essential.

We want someone who can deliver a killer social strategy and handle challenging client accounts. We’re a flat structure at 89up, so everyone is expected to get their hands dirty - one day you may be managing a Facebook ads campaign, the next pitching to a big potential new client or developing a social strategy for a powerful new documentary film.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing killer social strategies that can win awards

  • Thinking on your feet with amazing social ideas for make clients love you

  • Manage social accounts for clients with an eye on opportunities to make your campaigns noticed

  • Creating and managing both organic and paid social media campaigns on behalf of our clients

  • Producing written and visual content for social media

  • Attend client briefing meetings with creative director

  • Liaise with suppliers to contribute to project plans and budgets

  • Assist in regular contact with brand, NGO and agency contacts

  • Research potential new clients for new business and pitch work

  • Contribute to company social media and marketing

Your Experience


  • Experience of client management - or in-house experience of developing a social brand and social assets

  • Proven experience in running social media channels on behalf of brands or charities, adopting the correct tone of voice, acting in the interests of the client and protecting their reputation at every turn.

  • Proven experience in conceiving and producing social content using Photoshop or similar

  • Very high standard of written and spoken English and ability to develop and adopt tone of voice guidelines

  • Experience preparing and presenting proposals

  • Experience in client and resource management

  • Experience in project management


  • Experience in conceiving and producing video content for social media

  • Experience in a high growth early-stage business. 

  • Strong knowledge of digital marketing strategies
